The Men's Club of Plainview Jewish Center supports our temple's need for fund raising and the participation of all our congregants.
OUR DIRECT MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS ARE ONLY A SMALL PART OF OUR OVERALL SUPPORT FOR THE PLAINVIEW JEWISH CENTER AND OUR COMMUNITY.
Our programs encourage the participation of the entire congregation and foster the spirit of inclusion and yiddishkeit.
The funds we raise enable us to provide the temple and community with the programs that we often lose sight of, such as:
Sunday morning Tallis and Tephillin breakfasts
Men's Club/Sisterhood Sabbath
Bar/Bat Mitzvah Gifts
Father and Children's Sports Breakfast
Father and Children's Hockey Outing
Golf Outings
Monthly Educational, Political and Social Meetings
The Blood Drive in conjunction with the L.I. Blood Services Program
Youth Programs such as USY, KINNUS, and Camp Ramah Scholarships
Chanukah Party
Purim Party
Yom Hashoah Candles (we mailed more than 800 this year)
Holocaust Museum Support
Support for the Federation of Conservative Jewish Men's Clubs
Support for the restoration of a synagogue in Honduras destroyed by hurricane Mitch
Hatzilu Luncheon (where we serve over 100 elderly clients) and other organizations
Donations to the Rabbi Goldberg Memorial Fund, the Sid Kirschner Memorial Fund, the Art Gutmanstein Memorial Fund, PJC Yom Hashoa Memorial Fund, the Kol Nidre Appeal, Journal Dinner Dance, expansion of PJC Sukkah, Hatzilu Relief Organization, and others.
YOUR MEN'S CLUB SUPPORTS THE PLAINVIEW JEWISH CENTER AND PROMOTES JUDAISM WITHIN OUR TEMPLE AND COMMUNITY.
