Barbara and Steven Rubenfeld

The Rubenfelds have been mainstays of the Jewish community in Plainview since arriving here over thirteen years ago. Steven served on the Board of Trustees at Plainview Jewish Center for six years as well as on the Board at Solomon Schechter Hebrew Day School of Nassau County, where the Rubenfelds have given their three children a strong grounding in Hebrew studies. Steven also served for six years as Ritual Committee Co-Chairman and has completed several graphic arts projects of enormous value to the Congregation. Steven is employed as a Production Product Manager at BAE Systems, a defense/aerospace manufacturer. Barbara Rubenfeld has been Co-President of the Parents Association at Solomon Schechter and introduced the Parents Reaching Out to Parents program (PROP) at Schechter. She currently teaches at the Huntington Jewish Center Nursery School.
